Can’t wait for the next Battlestar Galactica
The Cylon-rapist looked like Barry Diller.

Watching every movie on Jeff’s lists, #2
For some classic Matthau, don’t miss The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. And count all the ways Tarantino ripped off that movie.

How many Oscar nominees does a comic book movie need?

“We’ll get there fast, and then we’ll take it slow…” Come on, man, it’s all about Kokomo! STAMOS!!!

Star Wars: Not just dark, but maudlin?
They’re all like that, even otherwise fine actors like McGregor. Hell, even Samuel Jackson was boring! I think the lack of sets might not help either.
Also, in the trailer that kid totally looks like Rick Springfield.

At least she didn’t say “skel.” I watched the first one, and I was surprised at how much it didn’t suck. The premise is completely ridiculous, of course, but somehow they made it entertaining. If not exactly plausible.

It’s odd that Hugh Laurie is putting on an American accent (as flawless as it may be), because the character seems so British. Or at least like a character from British TV. They’re not afraid to show people being utter bastards, like Basil Fawlty, Alan Patridge, Bernard Black, etc. House fits right in.
As for why such a doctor would be tolerated, well… everybody seems to go home cured, don’t they?

That’s awesome, man. Congrats!

Thanks, man. (Hey, did you subscribe? Doesn’t look like anybody’s subscribed since the first 3 people did.)
As for Puce, he’s currently awaiting deportation after Friday’s incident. We’ll see what happens.

“You’re a nut! You’re cra-a-azy in the coconut!” Download the video sometime. Probably my favorite video ever.

I just cancelled Netflix. I’m not allowed to have it because I asked for donations.

Doesn’t matter, probably.
You should really read Summer of Night ASAP. It explains the whole Duane McBride thing, which is one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever read.

“Oooh, I don’t remember, does he want the www there or not? Let me know.”
Ehhhhhhhh…
A Winter Haunting is good. Have you read Summer of Night? Because it’s sort of the sequel to that, set about 35-40 years later.

It’s still just a blank page in Mozilla, but it’s working in the AOL browser. For whatever that’s worth.

Well, they’re for sale!

It’s a cool idea, but I literally can’t watch it. My eyes cannot stay on the screen. Maybe it’s some sort of anti-MTV statement…

(By the way, you can download episodes if you don’t mind breaking the law.)

Ruth and Arthur are the only ones I actually like. I enjoy watching pretty much all of them being neurotic and trying to destroy each other, but those two are the only characters I would rescue from a burning building.

Now that the interview process is over
Fingers crossed, bud.

And now, just to get an idea of his versatility, you should check out his crime novels, Hard Case and Hard Freeze. Just fucking ruthless.

The more I think about it, the more little clues there were throughout the movie. As opposed to X2, which I haven’t really thought about at all, other than to bemoan the infrequency of the shots of Mystique’s ass.

“Let’s Build a Home.” Toward the end, he ran over to Conan’s desk, threw the guitar down on it, and played some slide shit. He’s also a little chunky, never noticed that before.

Man, tonight’s was the craziest of the whole week. I’m glad they played one of their older songs, and I have to say, Meg was looking really good.
Plus, the Gondry-built Conan head should become a permanent part of the set.

Famous? I don’t know about THAT. I just tease her and Dawn about that. Quality, not quantity!
