Bullshit! is on VOD

I was just talking about this at work the other day. HBO seems to always have several different series on Comcast’s VOD menu, but Showtime usually only has a couple, and they don’t rotate very often. But they’ve finally put what seems to be the entire run of Penn and Teller’s Bullshit! up. I’m watching the first one, about psychics, now.
In other teevee news, did you know that Blind Justice sucks? I do, and I only had to watch thirty seconds. The wife of the main character (a newly blind cop) says, “So you got the perp to come in?” When an incidental, non-cop character on a cop show uses cliched cop slang, the writing is irredeemably awful.

Didn’t you read what I wrote? The wife of a blind cop refers to a suspect as a perp. Let me clarify with various HTML tags: his wife, right before she threatens to leave him, uses the word perp. DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW, IT MAY CAUSE DEATH!
At least she didn’t say “skel.” I watched the first one, and I was surprised at how much it didn’t suck. The premise is completely ridiculous, of course, but somehow they made it entertaining. If not exactly plausible.
Yes, if she’d used cop slang I’d never heard (I love cop dramas) it would be even worse. The show has good actors (I liked what’s-his-name on ER), and it’s being promoted like crazy, so someone must like it.
I’m not entirely sure why I’m following that show so eagerly. I like the main actor, he’s got that every day hot blind guy thing, but it’s seriously one hour a week I could spend reading a good book instead of losing brain cells to their completely inane and obvious plots.
Oh well. You gotta have something to do to restore your nervous system after 9 hours in an office, right?
