Healthy BMI
I’ve reached another diet milestone, a healthy body mass index. Got on the scale this afternoon, and I weighed a mere 194 pounds, down 27.5 pounds from the start of this regimen. I’d like to lose ten or fifteen more pounds, but Beth says that’s not allowed. It seems I’m losing my attractive ass as well as my unattractive gut.
To celebrate my achievement I went to Krispy Kreme and bought a dozen donuts. Mmm, warm Krispy Kremes. Of course they’re just terrible for you. They make one donut, the chocolate malted kreme, that has 390 calories, 21 grams of fat (5 grams of the saturated variety), and fifty grams of carb (over half of that is from sugar). No one expects donuts to be healthy, but to put it in perspective a Whopper Jr. has the same number of calories, 1 gram more fat, and 18 less carbs. You eat six of those donuts and you’ve fufilled your USDA recommended carbs for the day (and the USDA recommends you eat way to many carbs. Bottom of the pyramid and all that).
I probably had more carbs in four minutes than in the last two days combined, and I only ate two glazed and a chocolate iced.
