Wardrinking, again

Andy and I are continuing our weekend activity of going wardrinking. If you’re not one of the savvy geeks in the know, that means we drive around to Denver area bars, get a beer, and search for open WAPs, preferably near a power outlet that the employees don’t care about. We’re currently near Coors Field (no, we’re not going to tell you exactly where. Figure out how to steal your own bandwidth, jerky) and the signal is pretty strong.

We went to Boulder last week, had very little luck, and I brought my digital camera to document it but didn’t get a chance to take any pictures of Andy geeking out. Today I forgot it, and there’s been tons of babes and lots of geeking. Damn it.

Time for some lunch.

  1. What’s a WAP?

  2. I marked it as an acronym, are you still using IE? Switch to Firebird straightaway. It’s a wireless access point.

  3. IE6 on the PC shows it as marked for definition as well – at least when you put your cursor over it.

I think, for RMBB The Next, we should start seeing who has wireless laptops, webcams, digital cams, etc so we know just how much geekdom we can employ.

  4. Mozilla based browsers do you one better… they dotted underline it.

Count me in with a wireless laptop, and extra wireless PC card, and a digital camera.
