Oh, I’ve been waiting for this

Oh man, this is something I’ve been wanting to get for a long time. It’s the gadget that fire trucks and the like use to flip traffic lights from red to green, and I’ve searched for a consumer model before but never found one. I’m sure it’s highly illegal to use, but what the hell, how could they catch you?

Update: Beth (who also noticed that Alec Baldwin was the narrator of The Royal Tenenbaums, who knew? I just assumed it was Gene Hackman, which made no sense) points out a problem: What if everyone gets one of these? Will the lights just flip back and forth, or will they all go to an insistent yellow? Perhaps when the price drops below three hundred bucks we’ll find out.

    Dave Barry linked to that a while back… great idea, but way too expensive. And definitely hard to catch! :) Friggin cool though, I wish I could afford one!
