Moss the amazing

Duante Culpepper and Randy Moss just made an amazing play. The pocket completely broke down, Culpepper runs outside and throws across his body all the way down the field to a double-covered Moss who runs back for the ball and lateraled to another player as he’s going down. Touchdown, zero seconds left in the half. I don’t know if that lateral was planned or something they practice, but it was amazing that Moss had the presence of mind.

They reviewed it, but it was obviously a lateral. You could clearly see the shadow of the ball moving backwards.

  1. i had to listen to the game over the internet. the question i have, was culpepper over the line of scrimmage on the pass?}:(}:(}:(}:(

  2. Didn’t think about that. I don’t think so.

  3. Seems like something the officials would have caught… I didn’t see him run very far forward on the play, it was more of a scramble to the side.

Of course, just because the officials didn’t catch it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. :)

  4. He didn’t look like he ran past his blockers, and usually they’re right at the line of scrimmage.
