My OLD links never broke, but when I tried to add a new one to test it returned nothing.

I went to the Amazon site and a lot f flks were complaining. It has magicaly fixed itself today so I am guessing we will have a few days of funkiness until they fix it for good.

Well now I get no eror, but I also get no amazon links when I use the MTAmazon tag }:(

Interestingly I now sometimes get the errors, sometimes not. I’m wondering if Amazon is implementing a fix on load-balanced servers one by one, or if maybe they’ve throttled the number of incoming queries they’ll accept so that my queries fail when they’re busy.

Hmm, now it seems to have fixed itself. Must have been Amazon’s upgrades all along? I don’t see how, I don’t think that macro should contact Amazon when I’m rebuilding a post without an Amazon tag.

I think I had the new files to begin with. Let me check…yep, I have always had 1.5.2 of the plugin.

I have heard a few folks say that Amazon messed something up.

Odd, I had the error on Wednesday night, was pulling out my hair trying to figure out what was up, read your post, reinstall the plug-in and everything works…although my new entries are rather slow to build.

Tiffany – you were getting these errors without upgrading? Can you send me the old files?

Sarah – I don’t think it’s Amazon, I get the errors on posts that don’t query their site at all.

OK, I went and reinstalled the new Macro files and everything is working fine again.

Well damn Matt, I spent hours last night trying to fix this thinking it was something I had done.

Finally figured out I had not changed anything so the problem was not on my end.

I am wondering if it is Amazon that is the problem because once a MTAmazon tag is processed it remains in the cache file so that is why the old ones work.

At least now I know it isn’t just me.
