We’re off and running

Well, we’ve got the poll off the ground, and my stats are in the stratosphere. Currently Nicole of Go Fish has a solid lead with thirty votes out the two hundred and twenty cast. Only six hours of voting and we’ve already got a tenth of last year’s total.
Already August has seen more traffic than the last two months. I’m getting 99 hits an hour, with a max of 1659 at around one today. That’s almost half what I got last year right after getting an Instalink. Today alone we’ve had over 1600 visits and 4500 pageviews. That’s remarkable for a site that usually gets a sure and steady 220 visits a day.

Yea, I think that was the point I was trying to make. The hits are following. I think that’s kinda an important part of the poll, and shows just how popular it is and how much traffic all the contestant’s websites can push.
Does a sell-out by someone whose work is based on self-absorbtion (Jewel’s all about relationships, Matt’s all about his car, stereo equipment, and finding quality masturbation material) qualify as whoring if they acknowledge it as being part of their self-absorbtion? Matt’s admission that this is all about hit stats suggests that this fits into the theme of the rest of his blog, the Celebration Of Me (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
