Drawing on 23+ years of bartending experience in the Big Apple, when you’re speaking with a women always minimize while being quietly shy about it and with the guys, lie your ass off with a clever smile. It’s best to avoid the subject altogether though since it becomes hard to remember what you told who when wheich leads to alcoholism.

personally i prefer to hear a lower number from a man. a “sweet guy who held out until the right girl came along” is much more attractive. i think higher numbers only impress other men.

Oh but this reminds me of a guy I had a crush on many years ago. He was a handsome dude, and a DJ in a popular downtown bar. You just KNEW he’d had a million chicks… he was a *ahem* fucking automaton. And I do mean that literally. He was so expert, he shoulda made videos for married couples. And yet he was completely without soul or warmth. So… when push comes to shove, haha, I, as a female, would prefer someone who would admit they’re not that experienced. I’m sure that would be part of the fun.

So isn’t your question a bit strange?

(p.s. I’d say add maybe 1-2 if the total is really, terribly small. Or be entirely truthful, especially if the total is just 1. The former makes you not *too* studly and worldly-wise, and the latter makes you a “sweet guy who held out until the right girl came along.”)
