The Deep End

The movies from NetFlix just keep on coming. The Deep End helped to keep me entertained today.

It wasn’t as dark as I thought it would be. I’d misinterpreted how the lover died from the previews. Then after about twenty minutes of the movie I couldn’t figure out where they’d go with it, but then Goran Visnjic showed up and the plot really got moving.

The acting in this movie was what really stood out. There wasn’t a single wrong turn taken by any member of the cast, and that’s saying something in a movie this dependent on dialogue. Tilda Swinton and whoever played the son were especially great.

Really, I think that anyone would enjoy this movie, whether you like talky dramas or tension filled thillers.

  1. Tilda Swinton kicked complete ass in this movie. Just totally awesome. Her performance is worth the price of admission (or in this case, rental) alone.

  2. I just cancelled Netflix. I’m not allowed to have it because I asked for donations.

  3. Dude, when I get some cash, I’m gonna earmark my first two years of donation towards a month of NetFlix. Those anti-donation fucks are just that… fucks.

  4. You won’t hear me arguing…
