I 'm pretty sure you can purchase roo in both steak and mince form - even in prepared roo burger form! Pretty handy, considering the fact that kangaroos are generally considered pests in the bush, eating crops and the like.

Not to mention they are pretty tasty.

Kangaroo? How do you buy it, ground up or in steaks?

Yea, that's the Bloomin' Onion, and it's a staple of many an American burgers and beer type restaurant. Chilis has one, and I think Applebees does, too. No one really thinks about the fact that the Outback pretends to be Australian, it's just a good place to get a good steak for a decent price.

Hey, a comment where I can even be Australian. I remember the first time I heard of the Outback Steakhouse - I think it was in 1999, when I was sent Deep Behind Enemy Lines to provide on the ground assistance to some moronic clients (sure I was 22, and had been working for all of five seconds, but hey!). Watching TV in my hotel room, jetlagged to hell, there appeared an ad for the Outback Steakhouse, which I had never heard of. My favourite part? The "flaming onion" or some-such, the house specialty. I think it was basically a deepfried onion or something, but whatever it was, I can unsure you this is not some Aussie delicacy.

However you _can_ buy kangaroo at supermarkets here. If you don't shoot them yourself.

Jim -

Come out here sometime, and I'll make sure you're fed right, buddy! Or if I'm ever anywhere near your bunker (funny that I have no idea where you live) I'll call you up and we'll go out for something meaty.
